Saturday 4x4: Long, Laboring, Loss
This was one of those games the Rockies let get away. The Brewers pulled out an 11-10, 10-inning victory at Coors Field on Friday night that took 4 hours, 20 minutes to play, equaling the 23rd longest game in terms of time in Coors Field history, and the 11th longest home-game loss.
It wasn't close to the longest games, in term of time, in franchise history. That was a 6 hour, 23 minute 4-3 loss at the Cubs on July 29, 2014. The longest win? Try 6 hours, 16 minutes and 22 innings for a 2-1 victory at San Diego on April 17, 2008.

Well, at least the Rockies were able to bulk up their offensive numbers, even if the pitching suffered and it wound up a loss. The game was the 10th time in franchise history -- ninth time at home -- that the Rockies scored 10 or more runs in an extra-inning game and lost.
It Didn 't Add Up to a Win

The Rockies pitchers threw 183 pitches in the game, and that was plenty for those who sat through the chilly, damp night at Coors Field. It, however, was only tied for 246th most pitches thrown by Rockies pitchers in a game. The Rockies pitchers threw 138 fewer pitches than the staff did in that 22-inning victory at San Diego on April 17, 2008.
10 Strong-Armed Efforts
The Game was the 1,871st regular-season game played at Coors Field, and the 175th in which the Rockies allowed 11 or more runs. The Rockies have a .547 all-time winning percentage at Coors Field, but not when they allow 11 or more runs. They are 16-159 allowing 11 or more runs. The most runs allowed in a single game was 26 to the Cubs on Aug. 18 1995.
