Sunday Stats: Desmond A Powerful Road Force
Ian Desmond has not enjoyed the strong start to a season that he would like. There, however, is no debating the fact that he has been a key weapon for the Rockies on the road, where they have struggled over the years.
Desmond hit his 13th road home on Saturday in the Rockies 3-1 victory at Dodger Stadium. He's second in MLB, and tied for first in the NL in road home runs. He also has 30 RBI on the road, tied for 10th in MLB, and fifth in the NL in road RBI.

With three consecutive wins, the Rockies are 41-42, which equals the ninth best 83-game recod in franchise history. It's one victory ahead of 2007, when the Rockies made their only World Series appearance, but three games back of the 2009 Wild-Card team, five behind 1995's Wild-Card team, and seven behind last year's Wild-Card team.
