Friday by Comparison: Arenado Continues to Climb the Rockies Charts
Nolan Arenado has another full season ahead of him before he can become a free agent -- and the Rockies are working to try and avoid having him get that far. Arenado, after all, is making big inroads on the Rockies all-time offensive charts. He doubled on Thursday night, moving ahead of Vinny Castilla into seventh place on the Rockies' all-time list.
He is also seventh with 177 home runs and 588 RBI, and eighth with 497 runs scored.

With the loss to the Dodgers on Thursday the Rockies record fell to 60-55, matching 2010 and 1996 for the third best record in franchise history in the first 115 games of a season. Among the six best records at 115 games prior to this season, the Rockies made the post-season in each of them except 1996 and 2010 when they were 60-55. This is only the seventh time in franchise history that it has had a winning record after 115 games.
