Thursday by Comparison: Rotation Carries Rockies In 2-Month Run
The Rockies return to the NL West pennant face during the last two months has been built around its starting rotation. The Big 3 in the Rockies rotation -- Kyle Freeland, German Marquez and Jon Gray -- have compiled three of the 18 lowest ERAs for a National League starting pitcher in the last two months, despite playing home games in Coors Field.

They are in second place in the NL West, a half-game behind the Diamondbacks, and game ahead of the third-place Dodgers. They also are in third place in the battle for the two NL wild-card spots, a game behind the Brewers, and 1 1/2 games behind the Cardinals.
