Saturday By Comparison: Rockies Starters Have Started to Click

The opening days of August have been disappointing. The Rockies have lost three in a row, closer Wade Davis the victim of walk-off losses the last two games.

The Rockies, however, remain two games out of first place in the NL West, and they have a rotation that has been the best in baseball since June 28. The rotation has a 2.95 ERA in that stretch. The only other team in MLB with a rotation ERA below 3.00 is the Dodgers.

The Rockies have a 20-9 record, the best winning percentage in the NL, and a staff ERA of 3.32, second only to the Dodgers, who have a 3.22 ERA.
