Tuesday by Comparison: Pirates Have Hurdled Challenge of Coors

The Rockies opened their seven-game homestand on Monday with a 2-0 victory against the Pirates.

Big deal?

Yep, big deal.

The Pirates are one visiting team that has had recent success at Coors Field. They had arrived at Coors Field with the highest winning percentage of any team that has played 10 or more games at Coors Field since the start of the 2015 season.

With the loss on Monday, the Pirates are now tied for second at .605, behind only the Diamondbacks, who are 21-13 at Coors, including four of six this season.

But then Pirates manager Clint Hurdle does have familiarity with life at Coors Field, having served as both the Rockies hitting coach and the managers.
