By Comparison: Oberg Puts Nothing but Os on the Scoreboard

Scott Oberg has become a critical part of the Rockies bullpen. Since he came off the disabled list on June 27 — the game before the Rockies began their rebound from fourth place in the NL West, eight games out — he is 6-0 with a 1.29 ERA in 34 games.

And he is getting better. with a shutout 1 2/3 innings in Sunday’s win at San Francisco, he has made 10 consecutive scoreless appearances, one fewer than his club record set Sept. 5-29, 2015. He, however, pitched 10 1/3 innings in the record-setting stretch, and has worked 11 1/3 innings in his current strong-arming of opposing hitters.
