The Padres were hit hard by COVID-19 issues on Tuesday, placing five players on the Injured List:

— The Rockies go into Wednesday’s doubleheader against the San Diego Padres having lost nine of their last 13 games, including each of the last four.
— The Rockies allowed six runs in the sixth inning of Tuesday’s game, their second worst inning of the season. They allowed 10 runs in the first inning of a May 4 game against San Francisco.
— Their loss on Tuesday was their fourth by seven or more runs while they were held to three hits, the second lowest hit total in a game this year. They were two-hit by the Dodgers on April 13.
— Left-hander Ben Bowden has allowed one earned run in 8 1/3 innings his last nine appearances, including a scoreless 1 1/3 innings in which he allowed two hits and a walk, but struck out two.
— The Rockies go into Wednesday’s doubleheader attempting to end a six-game losing streak against the Padres.
