From the offices of the Colorado Rockies

Did you know:

—  The Rockies climbed out of last place in the NL West for the first time during the 2021 season. They are a half game ahead of Arizona.

— The Rockies walked off for the fourth time this season, completing a sweep of the three-game visit by the Diamondbacks, improving their home record to 16-12.

— The sweep was their second of the season, first of three-games. They swept a two-game visit by Houston to Coors Field April 20-21.

— Rockies starting pitchers have a 2.67 ERA in their 12 games since May 12.

— Jon Gray recorded his fifth quality start, all five coming at Coors Field. He allowed three runs on two hits and two walks, striking out three in six innings. All three runs came in the sixth when Ketel Marte delivered a sacrifice fly, and Pavin Smith hit Gray’s next pitch for a two-run home run.

— Trevor Story hit his fourth career walk-off home run (last: Sept. 28, 2019 vs. Milwaukee) and fifth home run of the season in the ninth inning. It provided his first RBI since May 12 vs. San Diego (nine games).

— Story now has 398 career RBI, two shy of becoming the 13th Rockie in franchise history to reach 400 RBI with the club.

— Josh Fuentes has doubled in five consecutive home games, tied for the second-longest streak in franchise history, the longest since Michael Cuddyer in 2015. Fuentes became the 15th Rockie to have multiple doubles in consecutive games, the first since his cousin Nolan Arenado delivered against Arizona Sept. 11-12, 2018.

— Fuentes has recorded at least one extra-base hit in seven consecutive home games, tied with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. for the longest streak this season. He is hitting .500 (15-for-30) with seven doubles, two home runs and 14 RBI through his last seven home games.

— The Diamondbacks were swept for the fifth time this season, and saw their road losing streak extended to 13 games, second-longest road losing streak in franchise history. They lost 14 road games in a row May 18-June 18, 2010.

— They are 1-5 at Coors Field this year 5-12 since May 5, 2019.

— Taylor Widener made his first start since being placed on the 10-day injured list April 28 (right groin strain). He was removed in the second inning with right groin discomfort after allowing one run on one hit with two walks and two strikeouts, the shortest start of his career.

—  Pavin Smith connected on his fourth homer of the year and his first since May 2 vs. Colorado, extended his hitting streak to four games (4-for-16, one home run, two RBI).

— David Peralta recorded the D-Backs first hit of the game in the fifth inning. He has hit safely in 10 of his last 13 games (.320, 16-for-50, six doubles, one triple, one home run and five RBI).
