Three's Company -- Boise State, Utah State, Fresno State in Top 25


Fresno State has clinched the MW West Division and a spot in the 2018 MW Football Championship Game, while Boise State and Utah State will face off on Saturday, Nov. 24 (8:15 p.m. MT on ESPN) with the winner hosting the Bulldogs in the champ game.

The 2018 Mountain West Football Championship Game will be played at the home venue of either Boise State or Utah State. If the Aggies win, they will have a better Conference win percentage than the Bulldogs, while the Broncos would host with a win due to a head-to-head victory over Fresno State on Nov. 9.

#22/21 Boise State hosts #15/14 Utah State on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 8:15 p.m. MT on ESPN. The winner will host #23/RV Fresno State in the 2018 Mountain West Football Championship game.

Boise State, Fresno State, Hawai‘i, Nevada, San Diego State and Utah State are eligible for the postseason after reaching the six-win mark. Boise State is bowl-eligible for the 17th consecutive season, which is the longest streak among the Group of 5. Fresno State is bowl-eligible for the second consecutive year under head coach Jeff Tedford. Hawai‘i is bowl-eligible for the second year under Nick Rolovich and the first time since 2016. Nevada is eligible for the postseason for the first time since 2015. San Diego State is bowl eligible for the ninth consecutive season, while Utah State has earned postseason eligibility for the fifth time under head coach Matt Wells.

As we enter the final week of the regular season, Wyoming can become bowl-eligible with a victory at New Mexico (12:30 p.m. MT on AT&T SportsNet).

Utah State is off to a 10-1 start and is 7-0 in Mountain West play for the first time since joining the league. The Aggies are currently riding a 10-game win streak, which leads the league and is tied as the fifth-longest active streak nationally. This is the longest win streak in program history.
Utah State has scored at least 40 points in eight of its 10 victories this season and scored 60-plus points on four occasions. The Aggies rank second nationally in scoring offense, averaging 49.3 points per contest. The Mountain West record for total points in a season is 608 by BYU in 2001. Utah State is sitting at 542 points scored through 11 games.
