Erickson On Move Again -- HC in Alliance of American Football

Dennis Erickson, who made a brief stop in Laramie to coach the Cowboys and then left town in such a hurry his wife had to get the house up for sale and call the movers, has yet another head coaching job.

Erickson is the latest well-known coach assuming a head coaching job in the Alliance of American Football. He will be in charge of the Salt Lake City team in a league that also includes the likes of Steve Spurrrier in Orlando, Brad Childress in Atlanta and Mike Singletary in Memphis.

Erickson coached Wyoming to a 6-6 record in 1986, and after announcing in November that year that he would not be leaving Wyoming because it was his dream job, flew to Pullman, Wash., in January to interview for the Washington State job, took it and never returned to Laramie.

But then Erickson does not have a track record of hanging around long, anywhere, although he was an assistant coach at Utah most recently for four years (2013-16).
