Wednesday Farm Report: Rockies Standout at Class A All-Star Events
Low-A Asheville second baseman Bret Boswell keyed the South 9-5 victory against the North in the South Atlantic League All-Star Game at Greensboro on Tuesday night. Boswell, a 10th round draft choice out of the University of Texas in 2017, leads Asheville with a .316 average, and also has 10 home runs and 37 RBI.
Roberto Ramos of High-A Lancaster won the home run derby at the High-A California League All-Star game. Ramos, who leads the Cal League with 17 home runs, hit 11 home runs in the first three minutes of the contest, and beat Dodger prospect Rylan Banner of Rancho Cucamonga 11-10 in the championship round.

Albuquerque (36-35) ran it's winning streak to four games with a 7-4 victory against Nashville. Jordan Patterson (.270) delivered a three-run walk-off home run, his 15th home run of the season. Scott McGough (6-1, 6.48) worked two shutout innings to earn the victory. David Holman (5.82) started and allowed three runs on five hits and three walks, striking out one in five innings.
AA Hartford (33-36) lost 4-3 against Akron. Rayan Gonzalez (0-1, 10.38) suffered the loss in relief. Evan Grills (3.95) started and allowed one run on four hits without a walk, striking out seven in four innings. Brian Mundell (.271) was 1-for-3 with two RBI.
High A Lancaster (33-37) was off for the mid-season Cal League All-Star Game.
Low A Asheville (27-42) was off for the mid-season South Atlantic League All-Star Game.
Short-season A Boise (3-2) lost 8-4 at Spokane. Daniel Jipping (.442) was 3-for-4 with his first home run, a two-run shot. Alec Byrd (0-1, 12.00) allowed four runs on four hits and a walk, striking out five in three innings.
Rookie Grand Junction (4-1) won 7-4 against Idaho Falls, scoring twice in the seventh and three times in the eighth. Coco Montes (.286) had a two-run, inside-the-park home run in the seventh. In the eighth, Daniel Montano (.308) and Todd Czinege (.400) had two-run doubles, and Jacob Barnwell (.286) singled home a run. Reagan Todd started worked two shutout innings with a walk, two hits and two strikeouts in his debut.Michael Agis (1-1, 7.36) allowed two runs in two innings but was credited with the win. Alexander Martinez worked a 1-2-3 ninth for his first save.
Dominican Summer League South (5-10) won 11-5 against the Yankees. Second baseman Fadriel Cruz (.244) doubled and scored two runs. Leftfielder Gerard Ramos (.143) was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI. Anderson Amarista (2-2, 8.22) was credited with the win, allowing five runs on 12 hits but no walks, striking out nine in seven innings.
Dominican Summer League Northeast (8-7) won 5-1 at Royals 2 despite being one hit. Hanser Valeiro (.192) doubled. the Rockies drew nine walks, and the Royals committed five errors. Carlos Perez (2-0, 0.82) worked five shutout innings for the win. He gave up an unearned runs on two hits and a walk, striking out six. Kleiver Osorio (0.77) earned his second save.
