First Roberto Ramos was named to the High-A California League All-Star team. Then he won the All-Star Game home run-hitting contest.

And now?

Thursday, he was promoted from High-A Lancaster, where he was leading the Cal League with 17 home runs, to Double-A Hartford, where he debuted with home runs in his second and third at-bats, accounting for the Yard Dogs only runs in a 3-2 loss at Akron.

Ramos was hitting .304 at Lancaster, with 43 RBI. He spent the 2017 season at Lancaster, as well, hitting .297 with 13 home runs, 29 doubles and 68 RBI. Ramos was a 16th-round draft choice out of College of the Canyons in 2014.

AAA Albuquerque (38-36) lost 8-0 at Fresno. Raimel Tapia (.300) was 2-for-3, the only hits for the Isotopes. He singled in the seventh and eighth innings. Fresno's Cy Sneed had the Isotopes no-hit until the seventh, and finished with a complete game in which he walked two and struck out 11. Brett Oberholtzer (3-5, 5.86) was the Isotopes starter and loser, allowing four runs on five hits and four walks, striking out five in 3 2/3 innings.

AA Hartford (34-37) lost 3-2 at Akron. Ramos hit the two home runs. Akron's Bobby Bradley led off the eighth with the game-winning home run off reliever Logan Cozart (4-2, 2.70). Jesus Tinoco (4.95) had his second quality start in a row, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks, striking out four in six innings. 

High A Lancaster (34-37, 1-0) won 7-5 against Inland Empire. The Jet Hawks scored twice in each of the first two innings. Alan Trejo (.279) had a two-run single in the second. Steve Linkous (.283) singled home runs in the third and fifth. Catcher Brian Serven (.247) hit his fifth home run and doubled. Ty Culbreth (3-3, 6.40), allowed three runs in six innings on six hits and two walks, striking out three. Reid Humphreys (2.31) earned his 14th save.

Low A Asheville (27-43, 0-1) lost 6-4 at Greenville, which scored five runs in the fourth. Greenville opened the fourth with seven consecutive hits, including back-to-back home runs, and then drew a walk. Antonio Santos (1-9, 4.43) suffered the loss. Bret Boswell (.319) was 2-for-4 with a run scored and a double.

Short-season A Boise (3-4) lost 4-3 against Salem. Riley Pint (0-2, 1.29) suffered his second loss despite having allowed only one earned run in his first two starts. After allowing an unearned run in his first start, he gave up one run on four hits and four walks in four innings Thursday. He also struck out two. Danny Edgeworth (.345) capped a three-run eighth inning with a two-run home run.

Rookie Grand Junction (4-3) lost 6-1 against Idaho Falls. Christopher Navarro had three hits, including an RBI-single in the first. Eris Filpo (1-1, 4.50) allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks, striking out three in five innings.

Dominican Summer League South (6-11) lost 2-0 to the Mets #2. Felix Ramires (0-1, 5.91) suffered the loss in relief, allowing one run in three innings. Brayan Castillo (2.08) started and pitched four shutout innings, giving up two hits and a walk. Ronaiker Palma (.405) stole two bases and had three of the Rockies nine hits.

Dominican Summer League Northeast (10-7) won Game 1 at the Tigers 2, 1-0, and lost Game 2, 6-4. Wuardo Fernandez (1-0, 3.86) allowed one hit and one walk, striking out three in five shutout innings. Raymells Rosa (1-1, 4.35) earned the his second save in Game 1, but suffered the loss in Game 2. Steven Fana (.263) drove in two runs with a double and triple in Game 2. Luis De Avila (7.19) started and allowed two runs on four hits and a walk, striking out five in four innings.
