Grand Junction Returns Home for Make or Break Game 3 in Playoffs

The Grand Junction Rockies face a win-or-go-home Game 3 in the Pioneer League South Division Playoffs on Sunday night.

Ogden pulled out a 7-5 win at home on Saturday night, evening the best-of-three playoff at one win apiece. If Grand Junction wins Sunday's game it will host Great Falls in Game 1 of a best-of-three Pioneer League championship series on Tuesday.

Centerfielder James Outman keyed the Ogden victory, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored, two home runs and four RBI, incluidng a three-run shot that gave Ogden the lead for good in the fourth.

Aleandjo Mejia started and suffered the loss for Grand Junction, failing to reitre a batter in the fourth, and giving up five runs, three earned, on four hits and a walk, striking out two while retiring nine batters.

John Cresto was 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBI for the Rockies, and Daniel Montano was 2-for-4 with two runs scored, a double and a home run.
