Same Faces, New Places in Rockies Farm System

The faces are familiar, but the locale is changing for a group of the Rockies minor-league staff. Managers Glenallen Hill of Triple-A Albuquerque, Fred Ocasio of High-A Lancaster, Scott Little of short-season Boise and Mauricio Gonzalez of the holdover team in the Dominican Summer League are returning in 2018 to the same positions they held in 2017, but Warren Schaeffer moves from Low-A Asheville to Double-A Hartford, Robinson Cancel from a coaching spot with short-season Boise to manager at Asheville, and the Rockies still have an opening for the manager at Rookie Level Grand Junction. In all 15 members of the minor-league staff are changing positions for the coming seasons.

Darin Everson, who was the hitting coach at Triple-A Albuquerque in 2017 will become the organizational hitting and bunting coordinator, and Anthony Sanders, the High-A Lancaster Supervisor of Development in 2017, has moved to the role of organizational Outfield and Baserunning Coordinator.
