Oddsmakers Ignore April, Improve Odds of Rockies Winning World Series
The Rockies enter May with a 15-15 record. it's not what they had hoped for nor what their fans expected. But the folks in Vegas don't seem concerned. The Rockies, D-Backs, Red Sox and Blue Jays are the four teams to have the odds for them to win a world championship actually tighten since Opening Day, according to www.Bovada.lv.
The Astros are still the favorite, but they have actually slipped from 7/4 to 5/1. Also slipping are the Giants (25/1 to 30/1), and the Twins (30/1 to 35/1).
The oddsmarkers have the NL West a particularly tight race with the D-Backs improving to 4/7 with the Dodgers at 2/1, and the Giants and Rockies both 10/1. The Padres? They are 300/1.
