CSU Volleyball Open House at Gold Crown Wednesday

FORT COLLINS – The Colorado State volleyball team will hold a free open practice and intra-squad scrimmage at the Gold Crown Fieldhouse in Lakewood, Colorado on Wednesday from 6 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.

The practice will be preceded by a Gold Crown Fundamentals Clinic for youth in grades 3-8 starting at 5 p.m., with the Colorado State volleyball team assisting. Clinic registration is closed, but fans and supporters are still encouraged to attend and spectate. Information on parking and more is available at the Gold Crown website.

“With over 60,000 Colorado State alumni in the Denver Metro Area, this event provides exposure for the Rams volleyball team, Colorado State athletics and Colorado State University,” said Patrick Krza, Assistant Director of Community Outreach. “Bringing a Top-25 and premier NCAA DI volleyball team to the Denver area will give an opportunity for all of our alumni to attend and bring their family to watch and interact with our Rams volleyball team.”

CSU head coach Tom Hilbert will be mic’d up during the the event, providing insight on drills and reactions during the team scrimmage.

"We want to engage our fans in Denver, and we want to engage high school programs throughout the state," Hilbert said. "This is a good way for us to come to them, so they don't have to travel too far. They can come watch our players and our team and get a closer look into the Ram volleyball program."
