Rams Softball Team Headed to Kansas for Three

 Having split their first six MWC games, Colorado State‚Äôs softball team is taking a break in the conference schedule, but the challenge will be just as strong if not stronger this week. The Rams travel to Lawrence, Ks., for a three-game series against the Kansas Jayhawks. The Rams have lost 13 of 14 games all-time against Kansas.

The teams will play a single game on Friday and doubleheader on Saturday. It is their first meeting since Kansas beat the Rams 5-1 in the Capital Classic in Sacramento in 2005.

The Rams also play at Northern Colorado on Tuesday before resuming MWC play April 6-8 with a home series against New Mexico.

The Rams beat Northern Colorado 9-4 in a Feb. 27 game at Fort Collins, extending their winning streak against UNC to nine games.

Sarah Muzik is hitting a team-best .455, which ranks 27th in the country, and her .505 on-base percentage is 56th nationally. Corina Gamboa leads CSU with six home runs, a team-high 21 RBI and seven doubles.
