By Comparison: Anderson Suffers Loss But Takes Step Forward
Yes, the Rockies lost for the ninth time in 10 starts Tyler Anderson has made since the All-Star Break, but it was by a score of 2-0 at San Francisco on Friday night. The Rockies saw positives, particularly in Anderson getting back to his more natural delivery instead of trying to come so far over the top he would jerk his head and throw himself out of whack.
Besides, AT&T Park may be considered a pitcher’s paradise, but it hasn’t been kind to Anderson in the four starts he has made at the ballpark. He is now 0-3 and the Rockies lost all four games.

With an 81-66 record, the Rockies are two wins shy of the franchise’s best-ever mark in the first 147 games of a season. They were also 81-66 in 2010. The Rockies played fewer than 147 games in both 1994 and 1995 because of a players’ strike.
