The Odds: A Look At Favorites and Long Shows in Divisions, LCS and World Series

The Rockies aren’t a favorite of the oddsmakers, that’s for sure. Fact is, they are long shots to win the NL West, much less the NL Division Series and the World Series.

That’s not unusual, though. While the odds from 1995, when the Rockies advanced to the post-season the first time, weren’t available but they were definite longshots in three of their four other post-son visits.

In 2007, when they made their only World Series appearance, sweeping the Phillies and the Diamondbacks in the NL Division Series and NL Championship Series before an eight-day delay for the World Series to start, where they were wiped out by the Red Sox.

The Rockies go into the 2021 season a 60-to-1 longshot to win the NL West, the longest odds of any team in a division the Dodgers are favored to win.

They are 100-to-1 to win the NLCS ahead of only Pirates, who are 125-to-1.
