Dream Series Returns To Tempe, Special Appearances By Hunter Green, Justin Dunn
Major League Baseball and USA Baseball will host the `Dream Series’ this weekend at Tempe Diablo Stadium, the spring home of the Los Angeles Angels. The event will run from Friday through Monday, Martin Luther King Day. announce the return of the ‘DREAM SERIES,’ an amateur baseball development experience designed to diversify the talent pool of diverse pitchers and catchers.
The event will be held at Tempe Diablo Stadium, the Spring Training home of the Los Angeles Angels, featuring predominantly African American) high school pitchers and catchers from 20 States and Washington D.C.
The players will receive instruction from former MLB and Minor League players, managers, and coaches. Additionally, active Major League pitchers Hunter Greene, a Dream Series alumnus, and Justin Dunn, both of the Cincinnati Reds, will be special guest instructors on Friday.
MLB executives on-site will be Chief Baseball Development Officer Tony Reagins and Vice President, Baseball Development Tony Reagins.
Throughout the weekend, DREAM Series athletes will participate in interactive discussions focused on preparing athletes for the collegiate and professional levels of the game, including with Steve Williams (Sr. Director of Player Personnel, Pittsburgh Pirates) and Dr. Kensa Gunter (Sports Psychologist). Notable DREAM Series participants (and their committed schools) will include George Baker (Louisville), Aiden Harris (Virginia), Dillon Head (Clemson), Cam Johnson (LSU), Luther Ellis (University of Texas), Naz Zanatello (University of Arkansas), Zion Rose (Louisville), among others.

Alumni of the ‘DREAM Series’ includes Major League pitchers Hunter Greene (CIN) and Simeon Woods-Richardson (MIN) as well as 2022 National League Rookie of the Year Michael Harris II (ATL). Additionally, for the first time in MLB Draft history, four of the first five players selected in the 2022 Draft were Black, all of whom are alumni of the DREAM Series (#2 Druw Jones, #3 Kumar Rocker, #4 Termarr Johnson, #5 Elijah Green).

MLB Network’s Hot Stove will air live from Tempe Diablo Stadium on Friday at 9:00 a.m. ET with co-hosts Harold Reynolds and Chris Young. It will mark the first time Hot Stove has aired live from an on-site location outside of baseball’s annual Winter Meetings.
Scheduled guests include Justin Dunn, Marvin Freeman, Hunter Greene, Marquis Grissom, Justyn Hart, Dillon Head, Howie Kendrick, Jerry Manuel, Sir Jamison Jones, Cam Johnson and Zion Rose. Additionally, MLB Network will debut a new MLB Tonight: A Conversation program, specifically timed to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, highlighting the impact of the Dream Series on Monday at 7 p.m. ET. An exclusive one-on-one interview with Hunter Greene will be featured during the program.
