Spokane Centerfielder Collins Earns Player Of Week Honors; Albuquerque Stopped by Sugar Land

Spokane center fielder Isaac Collins, a ninth-round draft choice out of Creighton in 2019, made a statement in the in final week of High-A regular-season competition.

The 5-foot-9 product of Creighton University hit .411 last week with three home runs, eight RBI, seven runs scored and four stolen bases. A two-time Player of the Week selection, Collins finished the season hitting .312 in 78 games for Spokane after opening the season at Low-A Fresno.

In 311 at-bats with Spokane, Collins had 22 doubles, four triples and nine home runs, and was successful on 20 of 25 stolen base attempts.

In the only game played by a Rockies affiliate, Albuquerque (52-67) lost 5-3 at Astros affiliate Sugar Land. Jose Mujica (2-12 8.97) allowed five runs on six hits, walking two and striking out three in five innings. Ryan Castellani made his first relief appearance for the Isotopes, and allowed one hit and a walk, striking out two. Wynton Bernard had two hits, including a run-scoring single ahead of two unearned runs the Isotopes scored in the three-run third inning.
