Lambert's Perfection Sets Tone for Salt River's 9-1 Victory Vs. Scorpions

Rockies pitching prospect Peter Lamber took a major step forward in what has been nearly a two-year effort to recover from 2020 Tommy John surgery. Lambert worked three perfect innings, striking out five in the Arizona Fall League Salt Rafters’ (5-9) 9-1 victory against the Scottsdale Scorpions (7-7) on Tuesday.

Rockies outfield prospect Zac Veen (.457) went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI, and first baseman Grant Lavigne (.360) went 2-for-4 with two RBI in the eighth. Catcher Braxton Fulford (.211) went 1-for-4 with a run scored and RBI. Third baseman Warming Bernabel (.103) came into the game defensively, but did not bat.

The victory was the Rafters’ fifth in the last week.
