Walker Files: Walker Had Rare Speed/Power Combo
Larry Walker was bigger than most baseball players. But then he also was faster than most. And he had more power than most. Put them all together and Walker is walking in high cotton when it comes to speed/power comparison. Walker is one of only seven players in MLB history to have at least 200 stolen bases and 200 home runs. The other six? Five are already in the Hall of Fame, awaiting Walker’s arrival, and the sixth, Derek Jeter is considered a lock for Cooperstown in 2020 when he is on the ballot for the first time.
