Hall of Fame Recognizes Pat Hughes, John Lowe For Accomplishments In Their Careers

FRICK AWARD WINNER PAT HUGHES REFLECTS ON HISTORIC CAREER

Cubs radio broadcaster Pat Hughes has been elected the winner of the 2023 Frick Award, presented annually for excellence in baseball broadcasting. He joined the Minnesota Twins broadcast team in 1983 before moving to Milwaukee a year later, calling Brewers games through 1995. Hughes joined the Cubs radio team in 1996 and has called more than 6,000 games in his career. Click here to read more about the Cubs radio voice.

John Lowe receives BBWAA Career Excellence Award 

Longtime Tigers beat writer John Lowe is the winner of the 2023 BBWAA Career Excellence Award. The creator of the "Quality Start," he covered baseball for 35 years. Click here to read more about the former Detroit Free Press writer
