BBWAA BALLOT RESULTS TO BE ANNOUNCED JAN. 24

The results of the 2023 Baseball Writers' Association of America Hall of Fame voting will be announced live on MLB Network three weeks from today — on Jan. 24. The ballot features 14 new and 14 returning candidates for a total of 28. Click here to read more about each candidate.

After Dodgers pitcher Tommy John suffered a torn ligament in his throwing elbow, team doctor Frank Jobe suggested they try a new surgical procedure to repair it. Jan. 7, 1992: Fingers, Seaver turned pitching dominance into bronze

Thirty-one years ago this week, Rollie Fingers and Tom Seaver were elected to the Hall of Fame. Seaver received a record-setting 98.84 percent of the BBWAA vote and Fingers became just the second relief pitcher voted into Cooperstown. Click here to read more about the two Hall of Fame pitchers
